Melbourne Centre for Athletic Performance: Premium space designed and built for human movement. This unique gym sits on the ground floor of an apartment building in Essendon, Melbourne. Due to the facilities location, elaborate and extensive acoustic testing were performed during the early stages of construction. Designed for Olympic training, this facility accommodates heavy lifting loads, commonly dropped at height during weight lift training. Our team of engineers specially designed and installed a lightweight spring floating floor isolation system to mitigate vibration and noise to neighbouring apartments and comply with acoustic and vibration requirements for healthy living.
