Isolating mechanical HVAC equipment vibration at the source
Modern building designs are lighter and more flexible, increasing the need to manage vibration and structure-borne noise from the operations of heating, ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) equipment. Powerful air-conditioning and auxiliary equipment, especially in upper-level plant rooms, can compromise foundations and damage nearby structures. Noise from vibration is a growing concern due to higher-density living and the demand for quieter spaces.
Embelton provides a range of HVAC vibration isolation products to meet the demands of both refrigeration based and water based systems.

Refrigeration Circuit Isolation
This type of system uses a refrigerant to transfer heat between indoor and outdoor units utilising a phase-change process. Components are interconnected with refrigerant pipes and cabling. There are a large range of sizes with widely varying requirements for vibration management
Refrigeration Circuit
Water Based Circuit
This type of system uses water as a medium to transfer thermal energy. Heating and cooling are provided by equipment such as heat pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and boilers, while fan coil units deliver the conditioned air to the occupied spaces. However, many of these large-scale units can transmit vibration energy into the building structure, resulting in the occurrence of structure borne noise.
